Both buttons only ask the server; its own safe program starts the job within one minute. Nothing here can harm the live site: the restore TEST brings a backup back into a throw-away database, compares every table with the live one, and deletes it again.
REAL RESTORE — ONLY WHEN SOMETHING WENT WRONG
Puts a chosen backup back over the LIVE site (button "RESTORE THIS ONE" in the list below). The server first tests that backup, then saves today's state, then takes the site offline for about a minute, swaps the database and checks the site — if the site is not healthy it puts everything back by itself. Everything written after that backup (new accounts, sign-ins, records) is replaced; song and picture files are not touched; everyone signs in again. For 7 days the restore can be undone.
